Project Overview
Barra Steel was engaged by Loumain to deliver the complete structural steel package for the CCSM – Atrium Apartments development in Cowes, Victoria. This multi-residential project involved the shop detailing, supply, fabrication, delivery and installation of the structural steel framework, providing the strength and precision required for a modern apartment complex.
Working in close coordination with the builder, Barra Steel utilised the project’s tower crane during installation to efficiently erect the structural steel frame while maintaining programme requirements.

Corrosion Protection
To ensure long-term durability in the coastal environment of Cowes, all structural steel was specified to receive a suitable two or three-coat protective paint system designed to achieve C4 corrosivity category performance in accordance with the project specification.
